Welcome to the North Jersey Brigade - VfL Supporters USA, the first and only OFFICIAL American SupportersClub of VfL Wolfsburg. Our goal is to expose US Soccer fans to the excitement that is German soccer, particularly VfL Wolfsburg soccer. The North Jersey Brigade - VfL Supporters USA will bring you all the latest on VfL Wolfsburg and the rest of the Bundesliga - scores, match reports, standings, German Cup, TV schedule and more. We encourage all fans of Bundesliga soccer to join and become part of our group. It all began innocently enough back in the fall of 1997. Ed Kirwan was browsing on the VfL web site and signed the Guest Book. A couple weeks later Ed received an email from Bodo Nies looking for a Claudia Reyna T-shirt exclusive in the US. Ed found the shirt and exchanged it with Bodo for a VfL Wolfsburg T-shirt. Contact continued and the friendship grew over the next couple of years. Branching off of the North Jersey Brigade of Sam's Army, the US Nation Team supporters group in which Ed belonged, Bodo and Ed had an idea. In April of 1999, Ed visited Germany and traveled to Wolfsburg. The North Jersey Brigade - VfL Supporters USA was born. Co-founded by Ed Kirwan (USA) and Bodo Nies (Germany), it made its debut on April 10, 1999 as VfL Wolfsburg defeated Kaiserlautern 2-1 at VfL Stadion in Wolfsburg. Back to Top BACK
