The German Cup is a
single-elimination tournament open to any soccer team in the country
that can qualify, from amateur teams to 1. Bundesliga teams. The
winner of the German Cup automatically qualifies to compete in the
UEFA Cup. Wolfsburg's best run came in the 94/95 Cup when they went
all the way to the final only to lose 0-3 to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
